GiveNOLA Day is TOMORROW!!
GiveNOLA is a 24-hour online giving event (midnight to midnight CST), hosted annually by the Greater New Orleans Foundation. PARSE is participating this year for the second time! Since GiveNOLA Day 2016, PARSE has relocated to an 1860s Greek Revival house in the Faubourg Marigny, operated by the Center for Gulf Caribbean History and Culture. This 4,000-square-foot house serves as PARSE's office space as well as the site for our curatorial and research-based residencies. We also continue to organize exhibitions and events nomadically and in partnership with other organizations throughout the city. PARSE co-hosted Norwegian artist and curator Siri Borgé (in collaboration with Deltaworkers) during the month of April. Stay tuned for more details about her upcoming installation and performance this month. Also stay tuned for announcements about our upcoming residents in the Marigny in 2017! In June, PARSE will host the fourth annual Southeast Louisiana Juried Student Exhibition (formerly the Loyola Untitled Juried Exhibition) organized with the Department of Art at Loyola University New Orleans. This initiative brings together students from colleges and universities in Southeast Louisiana and this year's juror is Italian curator and scholar Anna Mecugni, Ph.D. PARSE is looking forward to many more residencies, exhibitions, and events in the year ahead! And your donation will make a huge difference for our programming! All donations are tax-deductible, can be scheduled today, and the minimum is $10.
